Tim Kaufmann is a multi-disciplined Unity developer and highly creative games designer with a passion for interactive storytelling through meaningful gameplay.
Most recently, Tim has worked on the newly released game ‘South of the Circle’ from BAFTA winning studio State of Play. In addition to cinematic games, Tim’s keen interest and background in science has led him to work internationally with a number of universities to help build HeARtbeat: an award winning augmented reality teaching app designed to aid undergraduates studying cardiology and pharmacology.
Tim has extensive experience developing games across multiple platforms including virtual, augmented and mixed reality. His work on Dinosaurs & Robots at Factory 42 involved the creation of two immersive, location-based, multiplayer experiences; combining Magic Leap with live performances.

His graduating game, Misfolded, which was inspired by his previous PhD in Neuroscience, received a ‘Top 10 Stars of EGX 2018’ award and was shortlisted for Best Student Game at the 2019 Grads in Games awards.
In 2021, Tim was selected to join the BAFTA Crew Games development programme.
